Rava Kesari

Ingredients:

Rava                        -  1 cup
Sugar                       -  1 cup
Ghee                        -  1/2 cup
Cardamom powder  -  1/2 tea spoon
Cashew nuts             -  1 table spoon
Raisins                      -  1 table spoon

1.  Heat 2 table spoons of ghee in a kadai.
2.  Add the cashewnuts and keep stirring till it turns golden brown and then add the raisins and onces it bulges remove from the kadai.
3.  Boil 1 1/2 cup of water and keep it aside.
4.  Heat ghee in the kadai and add the rava.
5.  Keep stirring till the rava turns into light pink colour.
6.  Add the boiling water to it.(You should keep stirring while adding water. Rava should not become lumpy.)
7.  Once the rava is cooked(it will take only 2 mins. to cook) add the sugar.
8.  Stir continuously for 3 mins.
9.  Now add a pinch of saffron colour powder and stir for another 1 min.
10.Remove from stove and add the fried cashew nuts and raisins.
11.When hot the kesari will be slightly liquid like.
12.But once it cools it will come to the correct consistency.
13.Rava kesari ready.
