pal payasam

Ingredients:


Milk                         -  1 ltr.
Rice                         -  1 1/2 table spoon
Sugar                       -  3 table spoons
Cardamom powder  -  1 pinch
Badam (grated)        -  1 table spoon (5 - 6 badams)


1.  Take the milk in a thick bottomed vessel.
2.  Bring it to boil and leave it on stove in low flame.
3.  Wash rice and add it to the boiling milk.
4.  Keep the flame in low and allow the rice to cook till soft.
5.  Add the sugar and keep stirring till it melts and again allow it to boil.
6.  Let the milk reduce to less than 3/4 of its original quantity.
7.  Add the cardamom powder and gratted badams and remove from stove.
8.  Either cook it and serve cool or serve it hot.
9.  Pal payasal ready.  It tastes yummy.
